Where will you work?

The company is a global leader in the distribution of technological products, services and solutions. They can count on strong logistics & operations to support resellers in distributing products to clients with technological needs in more than 100 countries. They offer an extensive product portfolio of software, network products, PC’s and other hardware of different producers. As they’re continuously growing, they’re looking for a Category Manager to join their Infrastructure team.

 

What will you do?

As Category Manager, you will have a broad range of responsibilities within a specific product portfolio. Mainly, you’ll be responsible for the construction and implementation of a marketing plan, based on the already existing business plan. Therefore, you’ll use the existing channels on the one hand and think about new channels and possibilities on the other hand. It’s your task to plan for a great go-to-market strategy to introduce new products to the market.  Next to that, you’ll organize marketing actions to increase the sales of your product portfolio, in collaboration with the vendors. Also, you’ll coordinate marketing events. As you see, it will be important for you to follow up on the market and related trends to gain the necessary technical expertise.

As you’ll be responsible for helping to raise the market share of your product portfolio, you’ll work closely together with the Account Managers of the sales teams. Therefore, relationship management is key, both with external customers, vendors and with your colleagues. Together, you will be able to detect and realize cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.

To assure a good follow-up of the ongoing projects, you’ll be held responsible for the planning and organization. Therefore, you’ll use the available internal admin systems and tools. They also utilize TAM (Total Adressable Market) and PAM (Partner Adressable Market) tools to gain market and customer intelligence.

 

Who are you?

We are convinced that you are very motivated and have a passion for marketing, but next to that, it’s also important that you:

  • hold a Master degree (preferably in economics or marketing);
  • have a solid interest in technology and are willing to get a profound knowledge of the products, the competition & the trends in this market;
  • have a feeling for marketing & marketing channels ;
  • are result oriented and are able to take decisions;
  • are a people person with empathy and solid communication skills;
  • love building strong relationships with clients & colleagues;
  • are service minded with an interest in the sales and marketing process;
  • like planning & organizing;
  • speak fluently Dutch and English. Good knowledge of French is a plus;
  • are proactive and like taking initiative.
